Established in 1991, CENTRAL CASTINGS is the longest-surviving artiste agency in South Africa, and has supplied literally tens of thousands of background extras on hundreds of productions in its many years of service to the film industry.
Our FEATURED DIVISION represents some our most sought after characters for principal roles in TV commercials. Several of our artistes have, whilst on set, been picked from the crowd by the director and upgraded to a Featured Extra on the spot!
Using state-of-the-art SMS technology, CENTRAL CASTINGS is able to instantly contact literally hundreds of artistes from our in-house cloud based database, thereby speeding up the casting process. Call time changes are no longer such a big deal!
As a member of OSCASA (Official South African Casting Association), the agency adheres to professional industry norms and standards, and has set the benchmark by which casting agencies in South Africa are measured.
